Brothers!

It's great to see Morgan and Hamish together. Morgan is now totally interested in his baby brother, wanting to hold him, love him and kiss him. He has realised that Hamish is here to stay..... and seems very pleased about it.

Hamish is at home

Just a brief blog to say that Hamish Tommy is now at home with his Mum, Dad and big brother. As yet Big Brother Morgan is seemingly disinterested in his baby brother, but I suspect that may change when he realises that Hamish is here to stay!

Grandson Number 2 has arrived!

This has been an exciting day as our second grandson arrived safely. Hamish Tommy Ineson was delivered at 09.39am UK time (6.39pm Perth time) and weighed in at 3.084 kg (6lb 12oz). Both Hamish and his mum are fine.

The first picture we received by mobile phone - isn't technology wonderful!

Other photos came via the Internet but it has been so good to be able to see that both Hamish and his Mum and Dad are all well.

Now we wait for pictures of Hamish and his big brother!

Watch this space for more news of our ever-growing family.

2 months in the sun

G'Day!

Here we are, back in the dull, dreary and dark weather of the UK having spent eight weeks enjoying the blue skies and warm sunshine of Western Australia. Observant ones will have noticed a new picture at the head of this blog. That's a view of Perth taken from King's Park and is included as a celebration of the news that our Residency Visa has been granted. So now we just need to sell the house, pack up our worldy goods, book a flight and it will goodbye England - Australia here we come!

As you can imagine, it was great to spend quality time with the family and a special joy to watch Morgan develop week by week. Christmas was a good time, altho' Christmas shopping in t shirt and shorts is not quite right somehow. Temperatures in excess of 40 degrees are quite different - thank goodness for air conditioning is all I can say!

Morgan thoroughly enjoyed all the excitement of both Christmas and his 2nd birthday and received many terrific gifts. It took him three days to open all his Chirstmas gifts then he started again on his birthday presents. I'm sure he was wondering what it was all about!

So now I will try to add some pictures and a video clip of some of the special moments we all shared.

Then it's a case of "watch this space" for news of our house and migration. You can be sure that we will still be in touch.

All for this time.....bye for now.

With Perth Fortress Songsters in Scotland

Hello to you all,

What a great time we had in Kilmarnock with Perth Fortress Songsters. The music was well chosen and well presented. Everything was well organised and went smoothly. The devotional meetings were inspirational and we were thoroughly encouraged. Even the weather was good.

It was great to be able to share with the friends we have already made in Perth and we were certainly made to feel right at home amongst them. Let's hope the house is sold soon and the visa is granted so that we can share with them all on a regular basis.
Having shared in a tremendous weekend, Joanna, Paul, Morgan and John and myself travelled to Manchester (and that's a greater distance than you realise!). We had a good day's shopping at the Trafford Centre and I was able to make great inroads into Christmas present shopping - very necessary as we leave for a two month trip "down-under" in November.
Morgan was an aboslute delight - well behaved, entertaining and both sleeping and eating well (just like his Grandpa!!) Hopefully you will enjoy the short video of Morgan included here.

Arriving home we had a sudden rush of house guests. Helen and Derek were here from Thusday evening until Saturday morning and we shared in lots of good fun and fellowship then on Sunday Sandra and Brian joined us for lunch and again we had a lovely time together.

So now it's back to a normal routine - but at least we are enjoying some beautiful sunshine today, which is absolutely lovely.

All for now.

Bye.

Morgan in Blackpool

We had a lovely day with Joanna, Paul and Morgan at the weekend. The plane arrived early into Manchester Airport and we had a trouble free journey home. Morgan coped with the change of time zone and was an absolute delight, keeping us all amused with all his antics, songs and dances. He also became Grandpa's little helper feeding the birds and the squirrel.

We went to the beach in the afternoon so that Morgan could experience a donkey ride. He did take a ride but wasn't too sure about it as you will see from the picture!

Sunday morning we were at the meeting - Morgan seemed to enjoy meeting lots of new people, then after lunch at a local restaurant it was time to wave them off at Blackpool airport en route for Dublin.

It was great that John's mum was able to share much of Saturday with us - she really enjoyed the day.

So now we look forward to meeting up again at Kilmarnock with the Perth Fortress Songsters.

Watch out for news of this in the next blog.

Bye for now!

Retirement

Hello to you all

This is just a short blog to let you know that as of 1st September 2007 both John and myself will be retired. You will realise that we have taken EARLY retirement but this will give us the opportunity to prepare for our new life in Australia - when we have sold the house and been
awarded a visa. For those two things we are still waiting - as patiently as we are able!

Right now we are anticipating a very short visit from Joanna, Paul and Morgan who will be en route for a Songster visit to Ireland and Scotland. We shall be travelling to Scotland to support them - but more of that in another blog.

Bye for now,

two old pensioners!
